1. Owner and acceptance
These terms govern access to and use of OctoGate, a service that makes it possible to create quick public pages with buttons, QR codes, digital card, statistics, reviews, translations and other features linked to a business’s digital presence.
Using the service implies acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree, you should not use OctoGate.
2. What OctoGate is
OctoGate does not replace a business’s official website. It works as a quick, visual and organised entry point to its most important links, actions and content.
Pages may include buttons, groups, images, colours, links, social networks, QR codes, digital card, reviews, statistics, automatic translations and premium features depending on the plan purchased.
3. Business account
The business or user creating an account must provide real data, keep credentials secure and review that the published information is correct.
OctoGate may limit, suspend or remove content when it detects abusive, illegal, misleading, harmful use or use contrary to these terms.
4. Content, links and business responsibility
The business is responsible for the texts, images, links, promotions, prices, opening hours, reviews, contact details and any content it publishes or approves on its page.
OctoGate may help organise, generate or improve content, but the business must review that the data is correct before publishing it.
5. Artificial intelligence features
Some features may use AI to create texts, translate content, suggest buttons, improve images or generate recommendations. These features are designed to save time, but they may make mistakes or require human review.
The business must check any AI-generated content before using it publicly, especially links, legal data, prices, promotions, sensitive texts or information that may affect third parties.
6. QR, digital card and statistics
OctoGate may generate one or multiple QR codes for different uses, such as general page, campaigns, tables, events, shop windows, cards, reviews or specific actions.
Statistics show indicative information about clicks, scans, buttons used, digital card saves and other available interactions. These data help improve the page, but should not be considered an absolute or guaranteed measurement.
7. Reviews
The review system allows customer opinions to be collected and, if configured, the experience to be directed to external channels when appropriate. The business must use this feature transparently and in accordance with applicable rules.
False, manipulated, offensive, illegal reviews or reviews that infringe third-party rights must not be published.
8. Plans, payments and premium features
OctoGate may offer free plans and premium plans. Available features may vary depending on the plan, active configuration and improvements added to the service.
Pricing conditions, taxes, billing period, renewal, cancellation and possible promotions will be shown during the purchase process or in the account dashboard when applicable.
9. Cancellations, refunds and security measure
Subscriptions can be cancelled from the dashboard to prevent future renewals. OctoGate may also offer an immediate automatic refund within the period shown in the account dashboard.
By default, this period is 3 days from the last charge, unless OctoGate indicates another applicable period in the dashboard or during the subscription process.
The immediate automatic refund is an additional facility to resolve occasional mistakes, confusion or changes of decision. To prevent abusive or repetitive use, OctoGate may limit this option and disable the automatic refund button when the limit stated in the cancellation and refund policy is reached.
10. Availability and service changes
OctoGate works to keep the service available and secure, but interruptions, maintenance tasks, technical errors, provider changes or feature modifications may occur.
OctoGate may update, improve, modify or remove features when necessary for technical, legal, security, performance or product evolution reasons.
11. Intellectual property
The OctoGate brand, its design, software, texts, structure, dashboards and proprietary elements belong to their owners or licensors. The business retains rights over its own logos, images, brands and content.
The business guarantees that it has the right to use the materials it uploads or publishes on OctoGate.
